UNY PBSI FBSB Lecturer Becomes Visiting Lecturer for SPARK 2025 Program at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China

A lecturer from the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI), Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture (FBSB), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Dr. Ari Kusmiatun, participated as a visiting lecturer in the SPARK (Supporting Program for Academic and Research Knowledge) 2025 program. The event was held at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS) in China from October 28 to November 27, 2025.

UNY KKNM Students Hold Education on Maintaining Reog Wayang Costumes in Kedon, Bantul

UNY’s Independent Community Service Program (KKN Mandiri) students conducted an educational activity on the maintenance of Reog Wayang costumes in Padukuhan Kedon, Sumbermulyo Village, Bambanglipuro District, Bantul Regency. This initiative was part of efforts to support the preservation of traditional art and culture within the local community.

UNY Inaugurates Kampung Emas Bumijo Kulon: A Realization of a Social Laboratory and 4K Synergy

UNY KKN Students Educate Residents on Processing Tofu Waste into Environmentally Friendly Liquid Organic Fertilizer

A team of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) students conducting community service (KKN) in Padukuhan Gunungsaren Lor, Trimurti Village, Srandakan District, Bantul organized training on how to make liquid organic fertilizer (POC) from tofu processing waste. This activity, initiated by the KKN students, received positive responses from local residents because it offered a simple, low-cost solution that benefits both the environment and plants.

Strengthening Global Collaboration: UNY–University of Exeter International Partnership Promotes Inclusive Higher Education

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) continues to demonstrate its commitment to building inclusive and disability-friendly higher education through an international research collaboration with the University of Exeter, United Kingdom, under the project “Disability Rights and In/Equalities in Higher Education.” Two lecturers from UNY’s Department of Special Education, Pujaningsih, Ed.D and Nur Azizah, Ph.D, recently conducted an academic visit to the University of Exeter as part of the project’s implementation.

Three UNY PPK Ormawa Teams Win National Awards at Abdidaya 2025 in Malang

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) once again achieved a proud milestone at the National Final of Abdidaya PPK Ormawa 2025, held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) from 4–7 December 2025. Out of 119 participating teams from across Indonesia, three UNY PPK Ormawa teams successfully secured prestigious national awards, bringing further recognition to the university.

UNY Partners with the University of Poitiers, France, in the 2025 Nusantara Arts Innovation Program

A community service team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has established an international collaboration with the University of Poitiers, France, in the implementation of the 2025 Nusantara Arts Innovation Program (PISN), a newly launched initiative by the Directorate of Higher Education through BIMA. The program runs from October to December 2025 and focuses on developing artistic innovations rooted in the traditions of the Indonesian archipelago.
