Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), the Purworejo Regency Government, and the Indonesian Air Force have strengthened their collaboration to develop the southern coastal area of Purworejo through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held at the UNY Rectorate on Thursday (April 2, 2026).

The FGD marked an initial strategic step to reinforce inter-institutional synergy in designing integrated development programs across multiple sectors, including education, research, community empowerment, healthcare services, and regional defense.

Students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) conducted a psychosocial support program for children in Teluk Kepayang Village, Aceh Tamiang, by introducing emotional awareness through interactive activities and sunflower planting.

The program was designed to help children, particularly those affected by post-disaster conditions, recognize and express their emotions in a healthy way. Through light discussions and interactive games, students guided children in identifying basic emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, and fear.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) organized the signing of Performance Agreements (Perjanjian Kinerja/PK) between unit leaders and the Rector, alongside a Cascading Performance Agreement Workshop, held at UNY Hotel on March 12, 2026. The Garuda UNY Eco Team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) achieved a major international victory by securing first place in the Urban Concept – Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) category at the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia-Pacific and Middle East 2026 competition held January 21–25, 2026 at the Lusail International Circuit in Qatar.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially signed a cooperation agreement (MoU) with the Human Resources Development Agency for Transportation (BPSDMP) under the Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia. The signing took place at the Theater Room, 3rd Floor, Sugeng Mardiono Building, Graduate School UNY.

This collaboration aims to strengthen synergy in the development of human resources, education, research, and community service between the university and the national transportation sector — supporting efforts to produce competitive and capable graduates.
