Efforts to strengthen the local economy continue to be intensified through digital innovation. Students participating in the Pembelajaran Luar Kampus (PLK) program from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) carried out a digital rebranding initiative for Usama Mikro, Kecil, Menengah (UMKM) in Duwet Hamlet, Banjarharjo, Kalibawang, Kulon Progo. The main focus of this activity was to assist in developing brand identity and digital marketing for the local rengginang business branded “Leo.”

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) once again presented a lively sporting event through the Fun Swimming 2026 activity, held at the UNY Wates Campus Swimming Pool on Sunday (April 26, 2026). This event was part of the 62nd Anniversary (Dies Natalis) of UNY and served as a tangible commitment by the university to promote healthy lifestyles, education, and sustainable community development.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment through two of its students who successfully won third place in the 2026 Outstanding Student Selection (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi / Pilmapres) for LLDIKTI Region V.

The two awardees are Nosi Anggana from the Music Education Study Program and Fitria Oktariani from the Applied Bachelor Program in Fashion Design. They received the awards on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).

A calm and different atmosphere was observed at the IDB Building of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), on Thursday (April 23, 2026), as several visually impaired participants took part in the Computer-Based Written Test for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT).

With the support of special assistants, disability-friendly software, and adapted examination rooms, UNY ensured that every participant could take the test equally and optimally.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again emphasized its commitment as an inclusive campus in the implementation of the 2026 Computer-Based Written Test for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT). On the exam day, prospective students from the deaf and physically disabled communities were able to take the test with accessible, disability-friendly facilities, ensuring equality and minimal barriers.

The Department of Chemistry Education, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, through its community service program, conducted an educational outreach on the dangers of consuming foods and beverages high in sugar for elementary school teachers at SD Kanisius Jomegatan on Saturday (April 18, 2026).

Students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta from the Undergraduate Program in Economic Education, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Class of 2024, initiated a program titled “Bullying-Free Friendly School” at SDN Kotagede III. This commitment was emphasized during a technical preparation meeting held by the UNY UTBK Center on Wednesday (April 15) at the Main Meeting Room of the Rectorate.

The Government of Purworejo Regency is committed to realizing the establishment of an off-campus study program (Program Studi di Luar Kampus Utama / PSDKU) of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) through strengthened strategic cooperation focused on building a new campus in the region.
