UNY Community Service Students Promote Environmental Empowerment, MSME Development, and School Digitalization in Somopuro Village

Students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) participating in the Off-Campus Learning Community Service Program (PLK Mengabdi) have officially concluded their service period in Somopuro Village, Jogonalan District, Klaten Regency, after carrying out various community empowerment programs over the course of three months. The program was formally closed through a withdrawal ceremony attended by village officials, community members, and the Field Supervisor Lecturer (DPL), Asih Bekti Cahyani.

From Waste to Solution: UNY PLK Students Introduce Maggot Farming in Pandan Hamlet, Somopuro, Klaten

Students of the Off-Campus Learning Program (PLK) of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) recently carried out a community-based organic waste management program through maggot farming, utilizing Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae, in Pandan Hamlet, Somopuro Village, Jogonalan District, Klaten Regency, Central Java. The initiative, titled Eco Point, was designed to address the ongoing challenge of household organic waste that has not been optimally managed within the community.

UNY Assists Local MSMEs in Pulewulung to Obtain Business Identification Numbers and Halal Certification

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), through its Community Service Program (PLK), continues to support the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). One such initiative was carried out in Pulewulung, Bangunkerto, Sleman where students provided assistance to local business owners in obtaining Business Identification Numbers (NIB) and Halal Certification. The program aims to help local entrepreneurs improve business legality, expand market access, and enhance competitiveness.

Real Action Supporting SDG 14: UNY Students Plant Mangroves and Clean Pandansimo Baru Beach and the Progo Estuary

Five students from the Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) Study Program, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY)—Ikhsanul Fikri, Andhika Diaz Satya Atmaja, Syifa Khoufina Yulia Rahma, Salsabila Wistri Aulia, and Adelia Putri Renata—successfully organized a social charity activity consisting of a beach clean-up and mangrove planting program. The activity was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Drs. Hiryanto, M.Si. and Dr. Agung Wahyu Hermansyah, M.Pd., lecturers of the Sustainable Development Education course.
