Music is often associated with sound and hearing, but that assumption has been challenged by research conducted by Dr. Drijastuti Jogjaningrum, a lecturer in Music Arts Education at the Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Through her research, she has shown that deaf children can still make music using a multisensory learning approach that goes beyond auditory perception.

Continuing the agenda after the opening of the Collaborative Humanitarian KKN, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) took further real action in response to the post-flood situation in Aceh. On Friday afternoon (9 January 2026), the UNY team spread out to various locations in East Aceh Regency and Langsa City to distribute donations, provide free health services, and hand over financial assistance to UNY alumni and students affected by the floods.

Students of the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN) from Yogyakarta State University (UNY), placed in Potronanggan Village, Tamanan, Bantul, held a training program on making tempe nuggets as part of their community engagement activities. Chronic wounds caused by diabetes, known as diabetic ulcers (UD), remain a serious problem in Indonesia. Treatment with antibiotics is often ineffective because bacteria become resistant, wounds are difficult to penetrate, and bio-films form that hinder healing. Even as many as 78.2% of UD patients experience this condition.

This condition has become an important attention point in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal of healthy and prosperous lives, which emphasises improving the quality of healthcare services and innovation in chronic disease therapy to reduce morbidity.
