UNY Lecturer Becomes a Visiting Professor at Satbayev University, Kazakhstan

Prof. Dr. Eng. Ir. Didik Nurhadiyanto, ST., MT., IPU, ASEAN Eng. gave a public lecture in front of the staff and students of the Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral Degree Department of Mining and Metallurgical Institute, Satbayev University, Kazakhstan. Prof. Didik Nurhadiyanto gave material in public lectures on two topics.

Garuda EV-22 Ready to Compete at Indonesia International Motor Show

The Garuda UNY team will participate in the 2022 Formula Electric Student Competition Indonesia International Motor Show (FESC IIMS) in early April to accelerate the development and research of electric cars. The event requires students to create works in the form of vehicles with electric formula concepts. The development of an electric formula car has many challenges.

Industrial Practice Cooperation between UNY and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Jatinom

A total of 4 (four) UNY students carried out Industrial Practices and assisted in supervision during the construction of the inpatient installation building at PKU Muhammadiyah Jatinom Hospital. This collaboration is a form of UNY's support for the construction of health facilities that meet the technical standards of building quality in hospitals. For UNY students, this activity will provide practical experience and specialized experience in civil engineering.
 

A HEALTHY DIET WITH UNYBAR

Many people are trying to have an ideal weight through exercise and diet. Unfortunately, this effort is not always easy because it is challenging to avoid snacking. For this reason, UNY has developed a healthy snack, namely UNYBar. "Available in milk, chocolate, banana, strawberry, vanilla, and grape flavors," said Prof. Siswantoyo. This product is one of the works of the Center of excellence for science and technology and innovation.

ANTI-THEFT WALLET INNOVATION MADE FROM BANANA MIDRIB WASTE

UNY students made a wallet with a security system that will inform the owner when the wallet is more than 10 meters apart from its owner. Uniquely, the wallet is made of banana midrib fiber, given a Javanese letter pattern. They are Asni Muslimah (Clothing Engineering Education), Annisa Nurfatimah Febrianti (Accounting Education), Annisa Alimah Ufairoh (Physical Education), Latifah Nur Khasanah (Chemical Education), and Atiqotul Maula Al Farihah (Sociological Education). According to Asni Muslimah, they made the smart wallet because many people still use conventional wallets.

GREEN TRANSPORTATION INNOVATION WITH INOBIKE UNY

UNY is committed to supporting the development of green technology. One of the results was the UNY Inobike bike. To ensure Inobike reliability in actual use, on January 7, 2021, the Faculty of Engineering UNY, held a mass trial which 100 participants attended. This activity is carried out on a limited basis while still referring to the Covid-19 prevention protocol. Yogyakarta, which is famous as a tourist city, is closely related to the word ‘culture’. There is a lot of cultures that can be found there. One of them is batik which has been crowned by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage from Indonesia. Yogyakarta’s typical batik motifs include Parang Rusak Barong, Kawung, Sidomukti, and Wahyu Tumurun. In addition, Yogyakarta is one of the centers of handicrafts in Indonesia.

UNY Vocational Education Program Student Get Two Awards in International Competition
