Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) have strengthened their commitment to supporting the improvement of human resource quality through the awarding of scholarships to 104 UNY students. The educational assistance, which is part of BTN’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program (Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan – TJSL), was presented at the Main Meeting Room of the UNY Rectorate on Friday (July 10, 2026).

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially conferred degrees upon 1,574 graduates during the Graduation Ceremony for Doctoral, Master's, Bachelor's, and Applied Bachelor's Programs, Academic Year 2025/2026, Period IV Stage II, held at the UNY Sports Hall (GOR UNY) on Wednesday (24 June 2026). The graduates comprised 39 doctoral, 257 master's, 1,060 bachelor's, and 218 applied bachelor's degree recipients.

The Career Development Center (CDC) of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta once again organized the Career Guidance Workshop Series #14, carrying the theme “Advocacy, Policy & Social Impact Careers.” The activity aimed to broaden students’ and graduates’ perspectives on career opportunities in the fields of advocacy, public policy, and social impact, sectors that increasingly require young professionals with integrity, critical thinking, and strong social concern.

UNY held a solemn ceremony to commemorate National Education Day (Hardiknas) 2026 on campus on Friday (May 2). The ceremony served as a moment of reflection as well as a reaffirmation of the academic community’s commitment to realizing inclusive and impactful education for society.

The implementation of the final day of the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta ran smoothly, orderly, and in a conducive atmosphere. The exam, held on Monday (April 27, 2026) for sessions 13 and 14, marked the conclusion of the UTBK series at the university, with evaluation results indicating that the overall implementation proceeded optimally without significant obstacles.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment through two of its students who successfully won third place in the 2026 Outstanding Student Selection (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi / Pilmapres) for LLDIKTI Region V.

The two awardees are Nosi Anggana from the Music Education Study Program and Fitria Oktariani from the Applied Bachelor Program in Fashion Design. They received the awards on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).

Students participating in the Pembelajaran Luar Kampus (PLK) program from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta once again demonstrated their social concern through a community service (kerja bakti) activity together with local residents. Students of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta from the Undergraduate Program in Economic Education, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Class of 2024, initiated a program titled “Bullying-Free Friendly School” at SDN Kotagede III. Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has reaffirmed its full readiness to support the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Test for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2026. This commitment was emphasized during a technical preparation meeting held by the UNY UTBK Center on Wednesday (April 15) at the Main Meeting Room of the Rectorate.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), the Purworejo Regency Government, and the Indonesian Air Force have strengthened their collaboration to develop the southern coastal area of Purworejo through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held at the UNY Rectorate on Thursday (April 2, 2026).

The FGD marked an initial strategic step to reinforce inter-institutional synergy in designing integrated development programs across multiple sectors, including education, research, community empowerment, healthcare services, and regional defense.
