Automatic pH Control Tool at UNY Student Tofu Factory

However, suppose the waste is not processed correctly before discharge into the river without passing through the decomposition. Then, it will damage the biota due to changes in pH value. The liquid waste treatment could decrease the Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD).
Activities of UNY Students in Maintaining the Waters

GPS increases people's knowledge and awareness about the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the river environment and local fish care. Youths put up banners regarding the ban on polluting rivers in some locations.
UNY Geography Education Lecturer Becomes Speaker of SDGs Theme Webinar at UPSI, Malaysia

On 5 June 2021, the event was held at the Geography and Environment Department (JGAS) Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia. This activity is an exploration program of SDGs and cooperation between UNY Geography Education and JGAS UPSI.
UNY Action to Reduce Plastic Waste
Submitted by admin on Tue, 08/24/2021 - 09:25UNY supports the Instruction on the Single-Use Plastic Packaging and Plastic Bags Prohibition in the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 1 /M/INS/2019. UNY support, among others, through the procurement of drinking water tumblers for UNY lecturers and educators. In addition, UNY provides dispensers indoors and outdoors so that UNY residents can access drinking water without causing disposable bottle waste.
UNY Activities for Ecosystems

One of the agendas is mangrove embroidery at Pasir Medit beach. Sulam mangroove's agenda is HIMABIO's efforts to preserve the environment already existed four times. In addition to Sulam Mangroove activities, previously, HIMABIO UNY has also carried out environmental service actions by planting 1000 mangrove seedlings and monitoring.

UNY Students Innovate Natural Catfish Feed

However, catfish growers still rely on factory-made feed in the form of pellets sold in the market. Catfish feed must have enough protein content to be utilized optimally by the fish body. Nevertheless, the selling price of fish pellets on the market is still relatively high. This problem will make the profit generated is limited.
