UNY and Blora Regency Government Hold Fun Cycling Event, Strengthening Synergy Between Education and Community

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), in collaboration with the Blora Regency Government, successfully organized a Fun Cycling Event to commemorate the 276th Anniversary of Blora Regency on Sunday, 7 December 2025. UNY Partners with the University of Poitiers, France, in the 2025 Nusantara Arts Innovation Program

A community service team from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has established an international collaboration with the University of Poitiers, France, in the implementation of the 2025 Nusantara Arts Innovation Program (PISN), a newly launched initiative by the Directorate of Higher Education through BIMA. The program runs from October to December 2025 and focuses on developing artistic innovations rooted in the traditions of the Indonesian archipelago.

KKN UNY Introduces Rocket Stove Innovation for Efficient Waste Combustion

Students from the Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), based in Mijil Village, Giritengah, Borobudur, Magelang, have developed a simple yet impactful innovation for rural waste management by building a Rocket Stove. This stove uses a vertical draft technology that enables faster, cleaner, and low-smoke burning of domestic waste.

The innovation addresses the persistent challenge of household waste in rural areas, especially the accumulation of light organic and inorganic waste.

Closing of KJI XX and KBGI XVI 2025: Civil Engineering Students’ Innovation Grows Stronger

Collaboration between UNY and Kebumen Regency: Community Service Program for Village Empowerment and Innovation

A total of 119 students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) were officially welcomed by the Government of Kebumen Regency for the Community Service Program (KKN). A team of students from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has successfully advanced in the Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa Riset Sosial Humaniora (PKM-RSH) organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. Their research, titled “Eksplorasi Internalisasi Falsafah Tutur, Uwur, Sembur dalam Budaya Sekolah Muhammadiyah untuk Penguatan Tata Krama Berbahasa Generasi Alpha”, explores the internalization of the Javanese philosophy of Tutur, Uwur, Sembur to strengthen language etiquette among Generation Alpha.

Student KKN UNY’s Practice of Making Eco-Enzyme as a Real Action Toward a Greener Village

In order to increase community awareness of the importance of organic waste management, a team of students on the Community Service Program (KKN) from UNY carried out an educational activity in Dusun Druju, Desa Margodadi. This activity took place at the home of Mrs Umi (RT 04), who fully supported the implementation of this program.

UNY accompaniment: Turning organic waste into liquid fertilizer, the PKK mothers of Sembuhan Kidul become more independent

A team of UNY lecturers conducted an accompaniment programme in which 40 members of the women’s empowerment group (PKK) in Sembuhan Kidul participated. The goal of this activity was to increase the knowledge and skills of the community— especially housewives— in utilising household and garden organic waste so that it is not simply discarded, but processed into liquid organic fertilizer which can be useful for family farming as well as becoming an economically valuable product.

The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata Mandiri) Team 26723 of UNY, stationed in Padukuhan Ngringinan, Palbapang, Bantul, carried out education on managing organic and inorganic waste as part of the community service activities. This initiative embodies the vision of UNY “Berdampak” (Impactful) and the “Dikti Saintek Berdampak” programme in building environmental awareness and empowering the community.
