FIK UNY Students Create 'DELIMA' in the Kampus Mengajar
Rais Ramzy Priyambada is a student of the Faculty of Sports Science, Department of Physical Education, Health and Recreation who had the opportunity to attend the Kampus Mengajar batch one which is held by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. The aim of Kampus Mengajar is to teach for Elementary Schools accredited C, or in frontier, outermost and disadvantaged areas.
Rais had the opportunity to teach at SDN Sadahayu 02, Majenang District, Cilacap Regency, Central Java. He is not alone, at the school, he has colleagues from the General Sudirman University, namely Sekar Fatmaningsih, Nu'mah Fatchiyah Disiwi, Vina Amalia Rizky, Septi Candra Ningsih and from the Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto, namely Desi Rahmawati, Rakhmadhona Istifarah.
During his time there, Rais was surprised to find problems such as a grade 3 student who was still not fluent in reading and writing. Later,he and his friends created 'Delima,' which stands for Dedication for the Teaching Campus Environment, carried out with a learning atmosphere in the open or outdoors. This is done as innovation because so far learning is done in a monotonous manner.
The activity was held for one week and took place in Taman Danaraja Tourism Village located in Sepatnunggal Village, not far from SDN Sadahayu 02 school. This activity was very interesting for students because it was enjoyable when learning as it combined with playing so children were motivated to learn. (PD,ts-Shafia,Vannya)
