In his report, Prof. Dr. Suranto conveyed the following as Chair of the Vice-Rector Election Committee. First, on 1 March 2021, the Senate carried out the selection stage for the candidate for Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) Vice-Rector for the period 2021-2025.
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) held a collaboration "Household Science and Family Welfare Education" on Monday (15/03/2021). This event was held online via Zoom; the agenda of the event discussed the similarities and differences between Home Science and Family Welfare Education starting from history, development and the future.
Department of Civil Engineering Education and Planning developed an academic collaboration program with Beihang University, Beijing-China. This activity is carried out from March to November 2020. This activity aims to increase academic horizons and improve the quality of education. Various activities that have been carried out include guest lecturers, visiting professors, visiting researchers, joint research and publications. The initial stage of the activity was a guest lecturer inviting Omer, a researcher from Beihang University, a Turkish citizen.
A group of students calling themselves the UNY Student Alliance (AMU) held a peaceful demonstration to declare a neutral stance against practical politics on campus. The peaceful demonstration started by walking from the Student Center to the UNY's rectorate. The action was held at the entrance to Boulevard UNY, Wednesday, July 2 2014. This peaceful demonstration also emphasised that UNY did not take sides with one of the two presidential and vice-presidential candidates.
