Disability Friends is a community built by Special Education Department students.This community was founded because students feel uneasy towards people with special needs. Special needs friends in University feel that there are still many facilities and infrastructure that are not accessible for them. As students of the Special Education Department take initiative to make a community that can help friends with special needs to get such decent and good facilities and infrastructure. The vision of the Disability Friends is “ to create a friendly environment for the disability”. While the mission of the community is to arrange a scientific study about disability and disability assistance.

As Presti Mukti, S.Pdi, a blind people and the member of ITMI (Ikatan Tunanetra Muslim Indonesia / Community of muslim blind people Indonesia), a friendly university is a university that had these 3 criteria; can be accessed physically, can be accessed non physically, and had policy.

What is a friendly campus? The campus should allow disability people to get the facility and the same access as other people. The true meaning of ‘friendly’ itself according to Presti is being treated equally. For example, when students struggle in the classroom, the teacher must modify the teaching-learning process according to the student's condition. (say/ant, ts-vannya)
