ASN is a profession that consists of two categories, namely PNS and PPPK. ASN as a public servant serves as a public policy implementer, public servant, glue and unifier of the nation. Being a state civil apparatus or ASN is currently full of challenges, but in fact the profession as a civil servant is still a dream for most job seekers. This can be seen from the increase in the number of applicants as ASN from year to year every time there is an ASN vacancy opening

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the transformation occurred very quickly, the use of information technology and innovation in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 brought changes in new products and services that increased efficiency. In addition, the presence of the millennial generation who is familiar with information technology brings the impact of changes in the work atmosphere. Therefore, the criteria required to become an ASN, especially in the ability to provide services to the community, are important criteria.

Based on these conditions, the Certification and Career Center plays a role in preparing alumni and final year students, especially those who want a career as ASN who are competent and have character in providing services to the community. Therefore, it is necessary to provide insight for alumni and final year students of UNY to better prepare themselves in fulfilling how to prepare for a career as an ASN.

The theme raised in this activity was “Are you ready to have a career as an ASN?: Complete the Selection of CPNS & PPPK” presenting speakers, namely Mrs. Salamah, the Chair of the CPNS and PPPK Sector from a start-up company. Application for ASN Selection Preparation, PT Kita Graduates International and Mrs. Raehan Fadila from Campus Coorperation PT Kita Pass Internasional. The event was attended by more than 520 alumni and final year students and was opened by the Head of the Certification and Career Center, Dr. Minta Harsana, M,Sc.

The presentation of material from Mrs. Salamah gave a lot of inspiration and enthusiasm for the alumni. The material is related to tips and tricks for dealing with the Basic Ability Selection (SKB) test which will be held in October 2021. In her presentation, Mrs. Salamah said that if job seekers are interested in becoming ASNs, they should first go to the field first. Like a war person, a fighter must know and understand the battlefield he will face so that he will be able to manage his techniques and strategies. Therefore, in giving the material, Mrs. Salamah introduced more examples of questions and how to work on these questions which included verbal, numerical and figural abilities. Meanwhile, Mrs. Raehan Fadila conveyed information about CPNS and PPPK registration, company profiles of PT Kita Lulus Internasional, tips on how to pass CPNS and PPPK.

The Virtual Prejob Training activity held by the Certification and Career Center ended with a question and answer session regarding the ASN registration procedure, several policies and mechanisms for implementing ASN selection. This information is expected to provide an overview of a career as an ASN. More importantly, this information can provide provisions for alumni and final year students to be better able to prepare themselves for success, especially as ASN.
