UNY Action to Reduce Plastic Waste

UNY supports the Instruction on the Single-Use Plastic Packaging and Plastic Bags Prohibition in the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education Number 1 /M/INS/2019. UNY support, among others, through the procurement of drinking water tumblers for UNY lecturers and educators. In addition, UNY provides dispensers indoors and outdoors so that UNY residents can access drinking water without causing disposable bottle waste.
To reduce the amount of plastic waste, UNY students make dolls from plastic waste. Doll making does not use a lot of dacron material because it switches with plastic debris. (Waryati)
