The Mapan Sejahtera Cooperative, UNY, was selected as the first rank of the outstanding cooperative at the Yogyakarta Special Region level in 2019, a type of consumer cooperative. The award was received by the Head of the Cooperative Mapan Sejahtera UNY, Siswanto (30/7), at the Imperial ballroom of The Rich Jogja Hotel during the 72nd Yogyakarta Special Region Cooperative Day Reception.

"For this achievement, we have made business management arrangements and business management improvements, compiled solid business plans, improved services to consumers, carried out business promotions continuously," explained Siswanto, he continued, "the next step is to improve service quality, business development according to consumer tastes, providing attractive programs to consumers, and strengthening IT-based services and online sales."

Activities aimed at appreciating the progress and development of performance that have been achieved by cooperatives, in addition to the types of consumer cooperative awards, there are four other types of cooperative awards, namely: types of savings and loans, types of marketing, types of producers, and types of services.

The activity coincided with the commemoration of the 72nd Cooperative Day, taking the theme of Total Cooperative Reform in the Era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Quoting from the host leaflet (Pemda Sleman), that one of the goals of the cooperative movement is so that economic actors can take strategic roles so that they can be helpful in efforts to overcome financial difficulties and to actualize themselves. Also present in this activity was the Secretary of the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia and the Governor of DIY.
