Encouraging lecturer professionalism through IKADBUDI

UNY lecturers become members of associations or organizations according to their fields. For example, lecturers from the Faculty of Languages and Arts UNY who teach subjects in local culture have the right to become members of the Indonesian Regional Cultural Lecturer Association (IKADBUDI). IKADBUDI is a professional organization for language, literature, and regional culture lecturers throughout Indonesia, established based on the National Conference of Lecturers of Language, Literature, and Local Culture throughout Indonesia held on August 8-9, 2009 in Yogyakarta.
IKADBUDI can mediate and serve various aspects of education, research, and community service in language, literature, and local culture that are developing in the community. IKADBUDI has the task of providing considerations, advice, and suggestions for formulating government policies in the fields of language, literature,and local culture. IKADBUDI also Accommodates and conveys the community's aspirations towards implementing education that opens local language, literature, and cultural programs. The organization also conducts studies, seminars, congresses, conferences, and quality assurance of learning and assessing regional culture and collaborates with other related institutions at the regional, national, regional, and international levels.
