The Center for Environmental Culture and Mitigation, Institute for Research and Community Services, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (Pusbudlingmit LPPM UNY) held a joint activity with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret Surakarta (UNS), Batik Islamic University, and the Karanganyar Regional Government in a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme "Environmentally Minded Tourism Villages Development and Community Economic Improvement Through Hydroelectric Power Plants in Berjo Ngargoyoso Karanganyar Village." UNY held this event on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the pendopo of the Karanganyar Regent's office. As driving motors in this event are Prof. Dr. Sunarto (UNY) and Prof. Dr. Rahmawati (UNS). Present from Pusbudlingmit LPPM UNY are Dr. Tien Aminatun, M.Si. (Chairman of Pusbudlingmit), Prof. Dr. Edy Supriyadi, M.Ed (Faculty of Engineering UNY), and Prof. Dr. Sudji Munadi, M.Pd. (representing the Chairman of LPPM UNY).

The Regional Secretary opened the event. The Dean of FEB UNS, representatives of BPDAS Karanganyar, as well as representatives of UNY welcomed. Prof. Dr. Rahmawati (UNS) and Prof. Dr. Sunarto (UNY) as the speakers delivered FGD materials and discussions to capture the aspirations of Berjo Ngargoyoso Karanganyar villagers related to the development of environmentally-minded tourist villages. Village Chief Berjo Ngargoyoso attended along with a group of villagers.

On this occasion, the symbolic handover of the donation of 3000 tree seedlings for water conservation in Berjo Ngargoyoso village did by the representatives of the Government of Karanganyar Regency (Sekda Karanganyar), representatives of FEB UNS (Dean of FEB), and representatives of LPPM UNY (Prof. Dr. Sudji Munadi, M.Pd.) to the Village Chief Berjo Ngargoyoso.
