The provision of disability accommodations at UNY is implemented based on Rector’s Regulation No. 9 of 2023 on Disability Service Guidelines and reaffirmed through the appointment of the Head of the Disability Center in December 2023, effective from 1 January 2024, with funding allocated in the 2024 DIPA. This regulation serves as an operational reference across units and covers the entire service cycle from admission to graduation, including exam access and learning adjustments tailored to students’ needs. Available accommodations include accessible exam formats such as Braille, soft copy, audio, or large print, an extension of exam time by approximately thirty to forty percent for blind or deaf participants, the provision of test assistants and sign language interpreters, as well as the enhancement of disability-friendly learning facilities in the library through a disability corner and assistive technologies. Evidence of non-academic support in 2024 is reflected in individual and group counseling services organized by the Counseling and Guidance Service Unit, ensuring sustainable psychosocial assistance for students with disabilities. At the national level, the 2024 Guidelines for the Management of Higher Education Disability Affirmation serve as an umbrella framework for prospective students with disabilities in state universities, including UNY. The implementation of this policy is reflected in UNY’s 2024 student admissions, which recorded the enrollment of students with disabilities, confirming that access and accommodations are realized in campus practice. |

UNY affirms the implementation of a safe and respectful campus environment through a combination of regulations and operational measures. The primary policy framework is Rector’s Regulation No. 6 of 2022 on the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence, which was developed in alignment with the latest ministerial policy in 2024 and continues to serve as a reference in UNY’s governance throughout the year. UNY’s ethical framework is reinforced by the Lecturer Code of Ethics No. 5 of 2015 and student ethics provisions regulating both academic and non-academic conduct. Preventive and responsive measures in 2024 were actively carried out by the PPKS Task Force through the “Goes to Faculty” roadshow from 23 August to 20 September 2024, accompanied by awareness campaigns and the signing of integrity pacts at the faculty level. Complaint reporting and handling mechanisms are accessible through several official channels open to the public, including the UNY Whistleblowing System, the Ministry of Education’s WBS platform, and the LAPOR platform, which was further promoted during the “LAPOR Goes to Campus” event at UNY on 3 October 2024. Through this combination of regulations, an active task force, faculty-level training, and transparent reporting mechanisms, UNY ensures equal opportunities in admissions, recruitment, learning, and campus activities, while strengthening a campus culture free from harassment and discrimination. |

ULB Mahasiswa UNY Ikuti Ujian ProTEFL Pertama Gratis, Ujian Ulang Tanggung Biaya Sendiri
Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) mulai menerapkan kebijakan baru terkait pelaksanaan ujian Proficiency Test of English as a Foreign Language (ProTEFL) bagi mahasiswa.
