UNY memberikan fasilitas bagi mahasiswa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan makan dan minum dalam berbagai bentuk usaha. seperti cafe jawara, food court jawara, kantin jawara, kantin bunda, kantin FBS, food court UNY, food court plaza, taman kuliner dan kantin disetiap fakultas (7 kantin).
Selain kantin dan food court UNY juga membuat program pasar kangen yang sudah berjalan 2 tahun yang menyediakan berbagai jenis makanan dan minuman dengan harga maksimal Rp.20.000.
Untuk mencegah atau mengurangi ketidakmampuan mahasiswa dalam memenuhi kebutuhan terhadap pangan UNY juga memberikan beasiswa khusus bagi mahasiswa yang kurang mampu dan memberikan kesempatan untuk mengikuti program magang di Jepang.

Pilihan menu makanan yang sehat dan terjangkau disediakan oleh penyedia makanan dan minuman. UNY memiliki salah satu program studi kuliner yang memiliki mata kuliah Inovasi Produk Boga yang memiliki tujuan menghasilkan makanan yang sehat, bermutu dan terbuat dari bahan pangan lokal, seperti, sayuran daun, tempe, umbi-umbian. hasil inovasi ini akan dipamerkan untuk di publikasikan ke khlayak umum yang banyak dikunjungi oleh mahasiswa baik dalam satu program studi maupun diluar program studi. |

Sebagai bagian dari paket remunerasi, UNY mengalokasikan dana tunjangan makan harian bagi seluruh karyawan untuk mendukung kesejahteraan mereka. Fleksibilitas dalam penggunaan dana ini memungkinkan karyawan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi harian, baik dengan membeli makanan di kantin kampus maupun dengan membawa bekal dari rumah.
Tunjangan beras yang diberikan oleh pemerintah kepada ASN yang diatur dalam Peraturan Dirjen Perbendaharaan Nomor PER-3/PB/2015 tentang tunjangan beras dalam bentuk naturan dan uang. untuk ASN setiap bulan akan mendapatkan beras dengan jumlah 10kg dengan harga Rp. 8.047.00
Selain tunjangan rutin, UNY juga menyediakan konsumsi dalam bentuk snack atau makan bagi peserta rapat yang berlangsung hingga melebihi jam makan siang. Sebagai bentuk perhatian terhadap kehidupan beragama dan keakraaban, universitas secara rutin mengadakan acara buka puasa bersama yang diisi dengan pengajian dan santap malam pada bulan Ramadhan.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) continues to demonstrate its strong commitment to producing graduates in health-related and well-being-oriented study programs. In 2024, a total of 1,354 graduates came from fields directly contributing to physical, psychological, and nutritional health. The majority of these graduates (34.93%) were from the Pendidikan Jasmani (Physical Education) cluster, including physical education and sports training, reflecting UNY’s consistent effort to promote healthy lifestyles and physical literacy in educational and community settings. Meanwhile, 16.77% of graduates came from Kimia (Chemistry) and Pendidikan Kimia (Chemistry Education), supporting advancements in health sciences, pharmaceuticals, and environmental safety. The Pendidikan Tata Boga (Culinary Education) programs contributed 15.81%, preparing professionals who promote balanced nutrition and food safety—essential components of public health. Additionally, Ilmu Keolahragaan (Sport Science) (12.11%) and Pendidikan Luar Biasa (Special Education) (11.15%) graduates strengthen inclusive health and wellness education, particularly for individuals with special needs. Finally, the Psikologi (Psychology) program (9.23%) plays a vital role in improving mental health literacy and counseling services. Together, these academic contributions reflect UNY’s integrated approach to advancing SDG 3 by nurturing professionals capable of fostering holistic health—physical, mental, and social—across Indonesia’s educational and community landscapes. |

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), through its Faculty of Medicine has collaborated with community health centers, hospitals, domestic and foreign government agencies, universities, government agencies or departments, and industry. This collaboration is expected to assist and facilitate students in the learning process. The Faculty of Medicine at UNY collaborates with several parties, including: Panembahan Senopati Hospital in Bantul as the main teaching Hospital, Prambanan Hospital as the Satellite Hospital. Dr. Soerojo Magelang Psychiatric Hospital and Bhayangkara Police Hospital DIY as affiliated teaching Hospitals. Depok III Community Health Center, Pajangan Community Health Center, Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) DIY, National Paralympic Committee (NPC) DIY, and Jogja Sports Clinic (JSC) as educational facilities.

At UNY, students have access to varied sports facilities—such as tennis courts (indoor and outdoor), basketball courts, soccer fields, badminton courts, swimming pool, and martial arts arenas—via student membership or through student activity units (UKM), with no extra charge beyond the standard student fees. In 2024-2025, new facilities were inaugurated at the Health and Sports Center UNY, and at UNY Kampus Wates a sports complex (GOR, courts, stadium) was opened to support both academic and non-academic development. These improvements aim to broaden opportunities for all students to train, compete, and stay active as part of UNY’s commitment to holistic student health and well-being.
