Museum Pendidikan Indonesia Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta selain sebagai wahana edukasi juga sebagai media pendidikan karakter bangsa. MPI juga merupakan gerbang pendidikan karakter yang ada di Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Edukasi merupakan kegiatan wajib yang harus tetap berjalan sebagaimana semestinya walaupun di tengah masa pandemi covid-19.
