Good Practice in Integrity Zone Development Toward WBK and WBBM at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) continues to reinforce its commitment to establishing clean and service-oriented campus governance by organizing the event “Good Practices in Integrity Zone (ZI) Development Toward Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and Clean and Serving Bureaucratic Area (WBBM)” on Thursday, February 8, 2026, at the Main Meeting Room, Rectorate Building, UNY.

The event was attended by UNY Rector Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, vice rectors, deans, vice deans, directors, and ZI team members from various faculties.

In his remarks, Rector Prof. Sumaryanto emphasized the importance of internalizing the values of integrity in every line of service, explaining UNY’s work principles of BMW (Cost, Quality, Time) and EE (Efficient, Effective) to guide institutional performance.

UNY also invited a resource person from the Integrity Zone Team of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung, Prof. Dr. Nawan Darmawan, S.Pd., M.Hum., along with technical team members. Prof. Nawan highlighted that Integrity Zone development is more than paperwork; Evaluation Worksheets (LKE) must reflect actual practices on the ground, not just documents. He stressed the importance of leadership commitment and active involvement of all levels in formulating and implementing policies that support bureaucratic reform.

Through this activity, UNY aims to strengthen a transparent and accountable work culture, helping to eliminate corruption, collusion, and nepotism (KKN) and improve the quality of public services — paving the way for achieving the WBK and WBBM predicates in the future.
