Three UNY PPK Ormawa Teams Win National Awards at Abdidaya 2025 in Malang

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) once again achieved a proud milestone at the National Final of Abdidaya PPK Ormawa 2025, held at Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) from 4–7 December 2025. Out of 119 participating teams from across Indonesia, three UNY PPK Ormawa teams successfully secured prestigious national awards, bringing further recognition to the university.
The HIMATIKA FMIPA UNY team won First Place for Student Organizations with the Strongest Sustainability Strategy through its community empowerment program in Playen Village, Gunungkidul, under the supervision of Rizky Arumning Tyas, M.Pd. Meanwhile, MDC FMIPA UNY earned Second Place for Teams with Nationally Adoptable Outcomes for its innovation implemented in Semanu Village, Gunungkidul, guided by Heru Sukoco, M.Pd.
UNY also received the award for Third Place – Higher Education Institution with the Best Empowerment Ecosystem Strengthening, highlighting the university’s consistency in building a supportive environment for student-led innovation and community engagement. Another achievement was secured by PKM Center FMIPA UNY, which won Fourth Place for Student Organizations with the Strongest Sustainability Strategy through its empowerment program in Barukan Village, Manisrenggo, Klaten, under the mentorship of Nur Aeni Ariyanti, Ph.D.
UNY’s Expert Staff to the Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Arwan Nur Ramadhan, S.Pd., M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the achievements. “This accomplishment demonstrates that UNY students are not only capable of producing innovation, but also of developing sustainable and impactful community empowerment programs. We hope this success will inspire other student organizations to continue moving forward, collaborating, and creating positive change,” he stated.
This success further reinforces UNY’s contribution to strengthening the community empowerment ecosystem through strong synergy between students, academic supervisors, and partner villages.
