THE UKMF MATRIX STUDENT TEAM BOOST MORE PLASTIC WASTE PROCESSING

Household waste is one of the most crucial problems nowadays. In big cities, waste is a significant problem that is still difficult to solve. Based on the type of waste itself, it is divided into two parts: organic waste, which can be decomposed with the help of micro-organisms, and inorganic waste, which cannot be decomposed naturally.

Learn the characteristics of the seasonal forest ecosystem

UNY provides opportunities for students to learn about the environment. One of those who got this opportunity was a student from the Department of Biology Education, UNY.

In the observation activities carried out in the West Bali National Park (TNBB), for example, students learned about the diversity of seasonal forest vegetation. The method used is Quadrat Sampling Techniques. The quadrant method is a method that does not use a plotless sample. This method is very good for estimating communities in the form of trees and poles, for example forest vegetation.
