Two UNY Students Win Awards at the 2026 LLDIKTI Region V Outstanding Student Selection

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again achieved a proud accomplishment through two of its students who successfully won third place in the 2026 Outstanding Student Selection (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi / Pilmapres) for LLDIKTI Region V.

The two awardees are Nosi Anggana from the Music Education Study Program and Fitria Oktariani from the Applied Bachelor Program in Fashion Design. They received the awards on Wednesday (April 22, 2026).

Pilmapres is a national competition organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs under the Directorate General of Higher Education. The program aims to encourage student achievement while strengthening a higher education ecosystem that creates real impact.

Nosi Anggana shared that her participation in Pilmapres provided a comprehensive academic and personal development experience. She explained that the selection process served as a strategic platform to sharpen critical thinking skills, develop scientific arguments, and formulate creative ideas in a structured manner. “Pilmapres is not merely a competition, but a platform to build consistency, academic integrity, and personal capacity as a student,” she said.

She also expressed gratitude for the achievement, viewing it as motivation to strengthen her role as an agent of change in society.

Meanwhile, Fitria Oktariani described Pilmapres as a valuable medium for self-development that enhances intellectual capacity and creativity. According to her, the selection process encourages adaptive and innovative thinking in formulating and presenting ideas. “Through Pilmapres, I learned to develop ideas systematically while also increasing my confidence in presenting them to a broader audience,” she said.

Fitria hopes that this achievement will inspire her to continue creating and contributing, particularly in her field of study.

This accomplishment is expected to inspire other UNY students to continuously improve both academic and non-academic achievements, as well as actively contribute to society and the field of education.

The achievement also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 16 (Strong Institutions), by fostering outstanding, competitive, and socially responsible students.
