UNY Strengthens Its Position as a UTBK Center, 15,783 Participants Ready to Take the Exam

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has reaffirmed its full readiness to support the implementation of the Computer-Based Written Test for the National Selection Based on Test (UTBK-SNBT) 2026. This commitment was emphasized during a technical preparation meeting held by the UNY UTBK Center on Wednesday (April 15) at the Main Meeting Room of the Rectorate.

Head of the UNY Admission Unit, Bambang Saptono, stated that this year UNY will serve a total of 15,783 participants, scheduled to take the exam over six days across 12 sessions. Each session is carefully structured into morning and afternoon schedules to ensure smooth execution and participant comfort.

Meanwhile, Secretary of Admission, Didik Hariyanto, explained that all exams will be conducted in computer laboratories spread across faculties, institutions, and units at the Karangmalang Campus. “UNY has prepared 69 examination rooms with a capacity of up to 1,405 participants per session. This reflects our infrastructure readiness to accommodate participants effectively and efficiently,” he said.

In terms of human resources, UNY has also made optimal preparations by involving hundreds of personnel. A total of 781 supervisors and 138 room technicians will be on duty, supported by security officers, medical teams, and administrative staff to ensure the exams run in an orderly and professional manner.

UNY also demonstrates its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity by providing special facilities for participants with disabilities, including those who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, and physically disabled. These participants will be assigned to specific locations and sessions with tailored assistance. In this year’s UTBK, there are 6 visually impaired participants, 3 physically disabled participants, and 8 hearing-impaired participants.

From the technological standpoint, Secretary of the ICT Center and UTBK ICT Coordinator, Restu Widiatmono, stated that various supporting facilities have been thoroughly prepared. These include metal detectors, communication signal jammers, internet network support in collaboration with Telkom Indonesia, as well as reliable electricity supply and backup generators from PLN.

In addition, UNY provides supporting facilities such as parking areas, waiting rooms, luggage storage services, and health services including ambulances to ensure participants’ comfort during the examination process.

Through these comprehensive preparations, UNY continues to strengthen its role as a trusted UTBK center, ensuring a smooth, secure, and inclusive testing environment for all participants.
