UNY Strengthens Institutional Performance through Performance Agreement Signing and Cascading Workshop

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) organized the signing of Performance Agreements (Perjanjian Kinerja/PK) between unit leaders and the Rector, alongside a Cascading Performance Agreement Workshop, held at UNY Hotel on March 12, 2026. The initiative aims to strengthen performance management systems and ensure alignment of organizational targets down to the individual level.

The signing of the performance agreements reflects a strong institutional commitment to achieving measurable targets and enhancing accountability across all units. Each unit is expected to contribute directly to the university’s strategic goals, reinforcing effective governance practices in higher education. This effort aligns with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting transparent, accountable, and results-oriented institutional management.

The event also featured presentations from university leaders, including discussions on employee performance policies and the preparation of Individual Performance Targets (Sasaran Kinerja Pegawai/SKP). These sessions emphasized the importance of aligning individual performance with broader organizational objectives, ensuring that every staff member contributes meaningfully to institutional success.

In addition, the cascading workshop provided technical guidance on translating institutional performance commitments into unit-level programs and individual responsibilities. This systematic approach enables clearer performance indicators, more effective monitoring, and continuous evaluation, thereby improving the overall quality of higher education management. Such initiatives contribute to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening governance systems that support educational excellence.

Through this program, UNY continues to enhance synergy among work units while fostering a culture of accountability and performance-based management. Ultimately, the initiative is expected to support sustainable institutional development and improve the university’s ability to deliver high-quality education and services.
