Belmawa Visits Barukan Village to Monitor the PPK Ormawa Program of the PKM Center FMIPA UNY

On Saturday, 8 November 2025, representatives from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, conducted a field visit in Barukan Village, Manisrenggo District, Klaten Regency. Their objective was to evaluate the implementation of the Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPK Ormawa), which is being carried out by the PKM Center of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Pantura News The Belmawa review team, consisting of Mr. Filmada Ocky Saputra and Ms. Amelinda Gamarosa, expressed their appreciation for the program’s progress, which has been ongoing since July and is scheduled through November 2025.

From UNY, participants in the visit included:Prof. Guntur, M.Pd., Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Iis Prasetyo, S.Pd., MM, Secretary of the Director, Dr. Ali Mahmudi, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs at FMIPA.

Representatives from Barukan Village also participated, including village officials, the midwife, youth health cadres, farmer groups, the principals of SD Negeri 1 and SD Negeri 2 Barukan, and other local stakeholders.

During the visit, the Belmawa team conducted interviews and interactive discussions with the community partners. They also inspected the “milk-gourd” farm, which is one of the tangible outputs of the PPK Ormawa program.

In their presentations, the community partners elaborated on the program’s progress from July to November, sharing challenges and achievements.

One notable feedback came from Mr. Agung Santika, the principal of SD Negeri 2 Barukan, who praised the Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS, or Clean and Healthy Living) activities. He stated that the program was engaging and innovative; the school even developed an educational “snake and ladder” board game to teach PHBS principles to students.

In closing remarks, Belmawa expressed sincere gratitude to the residents of Barukan Village for their strong support and active participation, which have been instrumental to the success of the PPK Ormawa initiative.

Mr. Filmada, on behalf of Belmawa, affirmed: “Thank you to all stakeholders involved. The significant support from both the university and the village is vital. This program can succeed only if the problems originate from the community itself.”
