FBS NEWS. The FBS (Facult of Languages ​​and Arts), Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), distributed free necessities to students affected by the closure of the area around their boarding house. They experienced a food shortage, especially those from outside Yogyakarta, and could not return home.

Through voluntary contributions from Lecturers and Employees initiated by the Dean, Dr. Sri Harti Widyastuti, M.Hum said the distribution of basic needs as a form of campus concern for students. However, at the university level, under the leadership of the Rector of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Hum, the fundraising for lecturers to provide food packages for students done before.

"We have recorded FBS students who stay in the boarding house because they want to study online well but are stuck in a lockdown in their village, so they have difficulty getting food," said the Dean of FBS UNY.

The coordination of fundraising collected at the Deputy Dean 2 of FBS UNY, Dr. Zulfi Hendri, M.Sn., and the General and Equipment Section employees have been packing from the morning until noon.

One hundred fifty (150) students received the first phase of assistance, divided into two categories: (1) students who experienced economic difficulties due to thinning finances and (2) problems in obtaining food ingredients due to the village lockdown. There were no stalls open for shopping. In a place some distance away, they also don't have masks.

The Deputy Dean 3 of FBS UNY, Dr. Cipto Budi Handoyo, coordinated the distribution of bare necessities (in the form of cash) to students. In addition, there are no crowds of students queuing up by implementing scheduled assistance taking each department from noon to the evening at the West Security Post FBS UNY.

It aims that today's assistance, Tuesday, 31 March 2020, can help alleviate student difficulties because of the Covid-19 emergency response period with restrictions until April 21. (dwiretnosa, ts-Shafia, Alina)
