TRAINING FOR TOURISM VILLAGE PIONEER

The Karangsambung-Karangbolong Geopark as one of the national geoparks in Indonesia since 2018. The geopark area crosses 117 villages in 12 sub-districts in Kebumen Regency. It consists of 59 geosites, biosites, and culture sites spread into three regions, namely north, east, and south. One of the villages with several geopark sites is in Karangsambung Village, Karangsambung District.

There are several sites from the Karangsambung-Karangbolong Geopark, such as Pentulu Indah Hill, Melange Museum, and others. These sites have a positive impact on the people of Karangsambung Village to improve the community's economy. However, the impact felt by the community is still relatively insignificant because of the less-optimal utilization existing in geopark sites'.
