The Technical Implementation Unit for Guidance and Counseling Services, Yogyakarta State University (UPT LBK UNY) held outreach activities and launched the guidance and counseling service program through online services. This activity was guided by the Secretary of UPT BK UNY Agus Triyanto, M.Pd. at the Academic Service Building of the UNY Wates Kulonprogo Campus on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. The purpose of this outreach activity was to optimize the guidance and counseling services at UPT LBK and as a means to further introduce the existence of UPT LBK at UNY. The socialization was attended by the academic community of the UNY Wates campus. On this occasion, the Secretary of UPT BK UNY also gave questionnaires to students.

According to the Head of Administration of UPT LBK UNY Istiyani Nuryati, S.Pd, this UPT is one of the technical implementing units at UNY that provides guidance and counseling services and plays a role in realizing health and psychological well-being for the entire UNY academic community. "In order to facilitate the guidance and counseling services, UPT LBK has created an online service called E-Counseling," said Istiyani Nuryati, S.Pd.

This system was created for counselees/clients who have certain activities, so they only have limited time to do guidance or counseling. This system is almost the same as face-to-face services so that counselees can directly communicate with counselors, even if only through cyberspace. Istiyani guarantees that the confidentiality of the client's problems is maintained. One of the participants, Eka Zuniati from the D3 Accounting Study Department, said that this socialization activity needs to be carried out because in addition to getting to know campus facilities it is also a means to get to know yourself through guidance and counseling services. According to the plan, this socialization will be carried out in all UNY work units including Karangmalang Central Campus, UPP I and UPP II UNY. In addition, there will also be socialization to 100 schools in DIY which will be sent by mail.
