Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has several facilities for students, lecturers, and campus staff. One of the facilities built is a sidewalk. The sidewalks aim to make it easier for pedestrians to access every building in UNY, along the road in the UNY area. The existing sidewalks also pay attention to the disabilities, especially the blind. For example, guiding blocks can make it easier for blind people to walk in the middle of the sidewalk.

The guiding blocks also work as a jogging path for people to jog so that the body is always in shape and creates a happy mind. This sidewalk is equipped with light yellow-colored block markers with a specially patterned surface as a marker. It is available in the Karangmalang campus, especially at the Adimarga park, the Kembara statue, the Randu Alas Park, and the community sports area. The guiding blocks' sidewalks are also one of the access to the buildings in the Karangmalang campus. (Arfian, ts-Alina)
