The History Education Student Association (HMPS), Faculty of Social Sciences UNY Community Service 2020

The Community Service Program is one of the programs that students must implement to realize the Tri Dharma of Indonesian Higher Education. The program aims to develop student knowledge gained from educational institutions and enforce it to the community. In addition, students must learn to create and empower the community through the community service program to establish cooperative relationships with the community and increase a sense of concern for the community. Through this program, the community can also provide a positive view of students who are focused on education and research and are community-centered.

The History Education Student Association (HMPS), Faculty of Social Sciences UNY, supported by the History Education Study Program of UNY, participated in the 2020 Community Service (PPM) program. The PPM activity for History Education Students in Bantar Kulon Hamlet, Banguncipto Village, Sentolo District, Kulonprogo Regency, Yogyakarta. During the current pandemic, HMPS and the History Education Study Program are trying to help and invite the community to continue developing the village's potential or empower the surrounding community. The activity was held for four days because health protocols limited it. During those four days, the History Education Student Association carried out activities that benefited the community, such as distributing masks, hand sanitizer, installing road placards, designing classes, etc. This activity aimed to interact and cooperate with the community to achieve one of the Tri Dharma of State Universities.
