In his report, Prof. Dr. Suranto conveyed the following as Chair of the Vice-Rector Election Committee. First, on 1 March 2021, the Senate carried out the selection stage for the candidate for Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) Vice-Rector for the period 2021-2025. The selection committee assisted in forwarding to the Rector. 

Second, from 1-14 March 2021, the committee has carried out socialization activities to announce the schedule for selecting the Vice-Rector, revealing the requirements for the candidate for Rector and serving the registration for the candidate for Rector. Socialization utilized various media. They are installing banners in each faculty/unit, announcements on the UNY website, sending letters in the form of announcements to all related deans and leaders, sending announcements via email to all lecturers, and broadcasting via Whatsapp Group and socialization. 

Third, live on zoom, 15-19 March 2021, candidates for vice-Rector will be held and served in the senate secretariat room. 

Fourth, from 22-23 March 2021, the committee will extend the registration for the candidate for vice-Rector. On the closing date on 23 March 2021 at 16.00, the number of registrants has not been added, meaning there is still one candidate for Vice-Rector for each field. 

Fifth, on 25 March 2021, the committee held an administrative selection for the four vice-Rector candidates, all fully verified. Sixth, on 25 March 2021, the committee for selecting the Vice-Rector applied to the Senate to complete the candidate for vice-Rector. Through a plenary meeting, there would be no additional names for the candidate for Vice-Rector. On 5 April 2021, the Senate determined the candidate for UNY Vice-Rector. 13 April 2021, the Rector has determined the candidate for Vice-Rector.

The committee hopes that the Senate will determine by consensus as to the elected Vice-Rector. We intended to choose and appoint a vice Rector for the next 2021-2025 period to run smoothly under Allah SWT's blessing, hopefully making UNY a victorious one.

The selected UNY Vice-Rector for the period 2021-2025 was as follows. Prof. Dr. Margana, M. Hum., M.A. as a Vice-Rector for academics, Prof. Dr. Edi Purwanta, M.Pd., as a Vice-Rector for general and finance, Prof. Dr. Lantip Diat Prasojo, M.Pd. as a Vice-Rector for student affairs and alumni, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO as a Vice-Rector for planning and cooperation.

After deliberation by the UNY Senate, by their respective fields, they became elected vice-Rectors. (Sud, ts-Alina)
