April 2026 Graduation: Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta Confers Degrees on 835 Graduates with Hundreds of National and International Achievements

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held a graduation ceremony for Doctoral, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Applied Bachelor’s programs for Period IV Phase 1 of the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) at the UNY Sports Hall. A total of 835 graduates were officially conferred in a solemn ceremony.
Of the total graduates, there were 47 doctoral graduates, 128 master’s graduates, 566 bachelor’s graduates, and 94 applied bachelor’s graduates. In terms of gender composition, female graduates dominated with 527 graduates (63%), while male graduates totaled 308 (37%).
The graduation ceremony was not only a formal academic milestone but also a reflection of student excellence. Hundreds of graduates recorded various national and international achievements, demonstrating UNY’s success in fostering competitive and accomplished human resources.
This moment also marks the readiness of graduates to enter society and contribute to national development across various sectors. The university emphasized that graduates are expected to become agents of change who are adaptive, innovative, and able to respond to global challenges.
The event further highlighted UNY’s commitment to producing quality graduates through education that integrates academic excellence, character building, and real-world impact.
This graduation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: SDG 4 (Quality Education)and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
Through the graduation of these 835 students, UNY continues to contribute to improving the quality of human resources and strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness at both national and global levels.
