The three newly inaugurated professors are Prof. Dr. Christina Ismaniati, M.Pd. from the Faculty of Educational Sciences — emphasized the importance of adaptive education that promotes meaningful, humanistic, and sustainable learning rather than rote value scores. Prof. Dr. Suhartini, M.S. from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences — expert in bioremediation, highlighting science-based, environmental restoration approaches that are effective and eco-friendly. Prof. Dr. Farida Mulyaningsih, M.Kes. from the Faculty of Sports Science and Health — stressed the broad benefits of rhythmic activity learning for physical, mental, and social health, including confidence and teamwork among learners.
In his remarks, Prof. Sumaryanto (UNY Rector) praised the achievement of the new female professors and noted that this addition reflects UNY’s commitment to academic excellence and gender equality. He reiterated that the title of professor signifies not only personal academic achievement but also a responsibility to contribute knowledge, innovation, and societal impact.
