Does your institution have an assessment tool for assessing sustainability literacy and knowledge of all staff (Academic and Professional)?

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta systematically provides capacity development programmes for lecturers and educational staff to strengthen sustainability literacy and knowledge. Sustainability literacy at UNY refers to the understanding, awareness, and practical application of sustainability principles in academic, administrative, and daily institutional activities, including environmental responsibility, social inclusion, ethical decision-making, and efficient resource management. In 2025, UNY collaborated with Google and Indosat to conduct the Google AI Indosat Certification training, while financial literacy training was also delivered in partnership with 10 banks to support responsible resource management and institutional sustainability. UNY also implements a sustainability literacy examination to assess participants’ comprehension of sustainability concepts and their relevance to institutional practices. Based on the available data, 61 participants attended the sustainability literacy assessment, and all of them passed successfully. All programmes are supported by standardised and quality-assured evaluation methods, aligned with institutional quality standards
