HEALTH AND SKILLS TESTS FOR PROSPECTIVE NEW STUDENTS at UNY
The selection of Health and Skills Tests for Prospective New Students at Yogyakarta State University for the 2018-2019 academic year was carried out, and the Monitoring Team led directly by the Vice-Chancellor I of UNY, Prof. Dr. Margana, M. Hum, MA, on Monday (23/7) at Yogyakarta State University.
Vice-Chancellor I (Academic Affairs) Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Margana, M.Hum, MA, said that the self-selection at UNY consists of the Achievement Pathway, the Written Exam, and the SBMPTN will compete for 1,434 seats. "In terms of age, the implementation of the UTUL pathway SM went smoothly, both written exams and skills exams with a total of 32,000 registrants," said Margana.

The selection of health and skill tests for candidates new students at the Faculty of Sports Science (FIK) was followed by 849 prospective students, held for two days at the Indoor Tennis Court and UNY Athletic Stadium.
The Dean of the Faculty of Sports Science, Wawan S. Suherman, explained on the sidelines of the activity that the selection of health tests and skills tests this year was the same as last year, where the health test was a skill test. "When the medical test is completed, the participants will proceed to the skills test," explained Wawan.
Wawan S. Suherman added that the skill test at FIK consists of several stages, namely: eye-hand coordination tests, push-ups, sit-ups, vertical jumps (jumping), dodging runs (running to form the number '8' at full speed (sprinting), passes two iron stakes that are approximately 10 meters apart), and runs for 1,600 meters.
Skills tests are also held at the Faculty of Languages and Arts for music, dance, fine arts, and craft studies. The Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Endang Nurhayati, said that the number of students in the skill test selection for independent new students at FBS was 446 students.
