Boosting MSME Productivity with the UNY Business Incubator

LPPM UNY has long had a Center for Entrepreneurship Development and MSME Assistance Studies, carried out by the Women and Gender Research Center, which focuses on Women SMEs. Since the Women and Gender Research Center collaborates with the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, further serious attempts to develop a business incubator grew more robust in 2012. This unit manages a process of coaching, mentoring, and development provided to prospectus tenants.

Based on the Rector's Decree Number: B/1053/UN34/KP.08.01/2019 This study center changed its name and responsibility to become the Center for Innovation, Business Incubator, and intellectual property. The main tasks of the innovation center, business incubator, and intellectual property rights are to increase science and technology innovation, provide guidance, develop entrepreneurship, assist business incubators and SMEs, as well as serve as a center for intellectual property rights. As an IPR center, it serves researchers or inventors in consulting and managing IPR. It also helps to accelerate the acquisition of HKI research results and PPM for the UNY academic community and the wider community. It spurs efforts to commercialize IPR products, especially from the UNY academic community through business incubators and SMEs.
