UNY is developing a green campus to support the Green Matric ranking. Various efforts were made to achieve this goal. UNY Chancellor Prof. Sutrisna Wibawa explained that these efforts include structuring green open spaces, drainage, waste management, waste management, energy conservation, parking arrangements, environmentally-friendly vehicles, smoke-free, clean air systems, and other items. The percentage of lecturers with doctoral qualifications at UNY is around 33.33%, with details of 321 lecturers having doctoral degrees out of 963 total lecturers. The lecturers who already hold educator certificates have reached 94%. It's just that he admits that lecturers with professor qualifications still need to be added. Currently, the number is only 64 professors, or around 6.5%.

"In the future, we will try to reach 15% of the total lecturers with professorship positions," he said. In the media gathering, the Chancellor of UNY also signed a collaboration with the mass media.
